Advanced Network Features

The LevelOne FSW-1650 is a 16-port, non-blocking, unmanaged Fast Ethernet switch operating at network speeds and powered by a single source. It offers an 8,000 MAC address table, 3.2 Gbps switching capacity, asymmetric flow control for bidirectional network connectivity, auto-negotiation, and auto-MDIX. The 16-port Fast Ethernet switch uses store-and-forward packet switching for error-free transmissions and IEEE802.3x flow control with backpressure to manage data flow between sending and receiving points and prevent packet loss.

Compact Design

The FSW-1650 is a compact network switch. Users can place the switch anywhere on their desk or mount it in a 19" rack using the included rack mounting kit.

Save Energy with LevelOne Green Technology

Active Connection Detection:

A LevelOne green device can detect activity on each individual LAN port. If an 8-port switch is connected to only 6 active devices, energy is saved because traffic is not sent to the 2 inactive ports.

Cable Length Detection:

The switch can detect the distance of the connected device and adjust its power accordingly. For example, if a computer is connected 10 meters away to a LevelOne green switch, it will consume less power than a computer connected 100 meters away.

Sleep Mode:

The device enters sleep mode when connected devices are turned off or no active connection is detected. This saves energy during long periods of network inactivity, such as evenings, weekends, and holidays.
