The DIGITUS DN-82120-1 media converter is designed to convert wired network signals into fiber optic signals, supporting Gigabit Ethernet speeds. It features one RJ45 port and one SC duplex fiber optic connector, operating on multimode fiber with an 850nm wavelength. This device supports key networking standards including IEEE 802.3 Ethernet, IEEE 802.3u Fast Ethernet, and IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Ethernet, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of network equipment.

With a maximum transmission distance of 500 meters, it is suitable for medium-range fiber optic connections. The converter supports unidirectional transmission and includes automatic cable detection with Auto MDI/MDI-X functionality, simplifying installation and configuration. It operates reliably within a temperature range of 0 to 60°C, making it suitable for typical indoor environments.

The compact unit measures 95mm x 70mm x 26mm and weighs approximately 200 grams. It is powered by a 5V DC input and includes LED indicators for status monitoring. This media converter does not support Power over Ethernet (PoE) and is intended for non-industrial use.
