The PLANET MGB-SX is a hot-pluggable Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceiver module designed for high-speed fiber optic networking. It operates at a data rate of 1250 Mbit/s and uses a 850 nm wavelength, making it ideal for short-range Gigabit Ethernet connections over multimode fiber. The module supports distances up to 550 meters when used with 50/125 µm multimode fiber, ensuring reliable performance in data centers, enterprise networks, and campus environments.
This transceiver is fully compliant with the IEEE 802.3z 1000Base-SX standard and features a LC duplex connector. It offers low power consumption and digital diagnostic monitoring (DDM) for real-time performance tracking.
