The Polish brand SSQ and the new series of Event cables
The Polish brand SSQ is launching a new line of cables with color-coded lengths, designed for event industry professionals, sound engineers, and anyone who values order in their studio.
The highest quality 6N copper
SSQ cables are not only Polish-made. They also feature the highest-grade 6N Polish copper mined by KGHM Polska Miedź SA. This guarantees the highest quality and reliability in all conditions.
Copper braid min. 90%
The cable's quality is also determined by its shielding. Our SSQ cables feature a copper braid with a density of at least 90%, providing protection against possible external signal interference.
JMPJMP Model
JMPJMP is a cable terminated with a 6.3mm TS connector on one end and a 6.3mm TS connector on the other. It's commonly referred to as an instrument cable. High-quality plugs and meticulous craftsmanship ensure the highest quality sound transmission.
What to look for when choosing a guitar/instrument cable?
Cable Thickness – A Balance Between Durability and Flexibility
The cable and its thickness are crucial. It can't be too thin, as it will be susceptible to mechanical damage such as stepping on, pressing, cutting, etc. On the other hand, it can't be too thick, so as to maintain the flexibility we appreciate during everyday use. The cable from the Polish company SSQ is 6mm thick and features double-layer protection. Its construction is an excellent compromise between durability and comfort for everyday use.
Plugs and their assembly – the key to quality and durability
It's crucial that the connectors are tested and of high quality. The connectors used in SSQ guitar cables have undergone thousands of hours of testing, ensuring their quality and durability. This is complemented by professional connector assembly and securing at the cable ends.
Shielding – protection against interference
The shielding in a guitar cable is crucial. It protects the signal from potential interference. Cheaper cables on the market have only a 30% shielding, which can lead to poor signal quality and excessive interference. In SSQ cables, we've taken care of this aspect, and the copper braid has a minimum coverage of 90%, putting it on par with much more expensive premium cables.
Application
A mono jack-to-mono jack cable can be used with virtually any electric or electro-acoustic instrument. This type of cable is primarily used for electric and electro-acoustic guitars, as well as connecting digital pianos, synthesizers, and keyboards.
