SSQ XX10 - XLR-XLR 10 meter cable

The Polish brand SSQ is characterized by the production of very high-quality audio cables and other accessories for studio and commercial use.

The XX model  is a cable with a 3-pin female XLR connector on one end and a 3-pin male XLR connector with gold-plated pins on the other. High-quality plugs and meticulous workmanship ensure the highest quality sound transmission. 

What is a balanced cable?

A balanced or symmetrical cable (both are correct) has three wires inside – two signal wires (positive and negative) and a third ground wire. Both channels transmit the same signal, but in one of them, the signal is reversed and out of phase. This, when applied together, effectively isolates and removes any noise and interference.

What to pay attention to when choosing an XLR cable?

Cable thickness

The cable and its thickness are crucial. It can't be too thin, as it will be susceptible to mechanical damage such as being stepped on, pressed, cut, etc. 

On the other hand, it cannot be too thick to maintain the flexibility that we will appreciate during everyday use. 

The cable from Polish company SSQ is 6mm thick and features double-layer protection. Its design is an excellent compromise between durability and everyday comfort.

Plugs and their assembly quality

It's crucial that the connectors are tested and of high quality. The connectors used in SSQ cables have undergone thousands of hours of testing, ensuring their quality and durability. The entire process is completed by professional connector assembly and securing them to the cable ends with branded heat-shrinkable connectors.

Protection against interference

The shielding in a microphone cable is very important. It protects the signal from possible interference. 

There are cheaper cables on the market with only 30% of the flow rate and we do not recommend such cables. 

In SSQ cables we took care of this aspect and the copper braid has a coverage density of at least 90%,

which can be compared to the competition that is several times more expensive. 

Application
