StarTech.com I13P-SERIAL-ETHERNET Serial to Ethernet Adapter PoE TAA

It is a StarTech 1 port serial over IP device server (I13P-SERIAL-ETHERNET) with 802.3af PoE power, which converts an RS-232 DB9 interface into an Ethernet network accessible port and allows the equipment to be powered directly from the switch without an external power adapter.

Ports and power

• One RS-232 DB9 port (up to 921.6 kbps) for connecting industrial serial devices, POS, PLCs, panels, etc.

• One RJ-45 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port with 802.3af PoE support, supplying data and power over the same network cable; also supports external power over a barrel connector if preferred.

Networking and Management Features

• Supports Telnet (RFC2217), TCP Server, TCP Client and UDP modes, functioning as a LAN-to-serial converter or serial tunnel over IP.

• Includes software to create virtual COM ports in Windows and a common web interface (WebUI) to configure and manage the device from any operating system.

Industrial design and mounting

• Rugged metal housing with level 4 ESD protection (up to 15 kV airborne / 8 kV touch) for demanding environments.

• Includes hardware for wall or DIN-rail mounting, with compact size (approx. 46.1 × 25 × 81.9 mm), ideal for communications cabinets or switchboards with limited space.
