In the budget range with ANC, the MeloBuds Pro are above the Redmi Buds 5 Pro by offering LDAC and higher attenuation, although Xiaomi has a dual driver. Compared to the Soundcore Life A3i they win on call quality and customisation via app, but Anker adds wireless charging. Compared to the previous QCY MeloBuds ANC, these HT08s double the noise reduction power, upgrade to BT 5.3 and improve battery life by 4 hours. Weak points remain the lack of Qi charging and the somewhat warm sound with ANC enabled; however, the combination of effective ANC, high-resolution audio and lightweight comfort makes them a very complete option for those looking to isolate themselves without compromising on sound detail and price.
