The Sony DualSense Rhythm Blue from the HyperPop Collection is an official controller for PlayStation 5 that stands out for its high-gloss aesthetics and a gradient that veers from neon blue to black. This finish is not only visual: the outer coating increases tactile friction, improving the non-slip grip over the matte versions, but also makes fingerprints more visible with use.

Third version of the gamepad

Internally, this model corresponds to the third revision (v3) of Sony's hardware. It incorporates haptic feedback via dual actuators, replacing traditional vibration with accurate physical feedback capable of simulating textures and environmental effects. Adaptive triggers at L2 and R2 use a gear system to provide dynamic resistance, replicating the tension of actions such as pulling a rope or applying a brake.

Capacitive touch panel

The controller features a two-point capacitive touchpad, symmetrical analogue sticks and a six-axis motion sensing system (gyroscope and 3-axis accelerometer each). Wireless connectivity is via Bluetooth 5.1, ensuring fast response on PS5, PC, Mac and mobile devices (Android/iOS). For use of haptic vibration and triggers on PC, wired connection and firmware update via Sony's official tool is required.

1560 mAh lithium-ion battery

Battery life is provided by a 1,560 mAh lithium-ion battery. Under intensive use - with feedback, speaker and lights active - the battery life is between 6 and 8 hours. On the audio side, there is a noise-cancelling microphone array, integrated speaker for secondary effects and a 3.5 mm jack for headphones.
