POC Obex MIPS Ski Helmet White M/L

Design and use

The POC Obex MIPS is a lightweight, highly ventilated all-mountain helmet for skiers and snowboarders looking for advanced protection and comfort for long hours on piste and moderate off-piste. It is designed as a unisex helmet, compatible with POC goggles and the Obex Communication Headset, making it versatile for different styles and levels.

Construction and protection

The helmet uses a hybrid construction with a dual-material shell: a polycarbonate (PC) shell with a thicker ABS upper section, which provides a very good balance between low weight, durability and impact resistance. The interior consists of an EPS liner optimized for lightweight impact protection, while the integration of the Mips Evolve system adds a low-friction layer that helps reduce rotational forces in oblique falls.

Fit and comfort

A 360? Fit System completely encircles the head and is adjustable via a rear wheel, allowing for a secure, custom fit without the need to change internal padding. Size M/L covers contours from 55-58 cm and XL/XXL from 59-62 cm, with an approximate weight of around 500 g, making it comfortable for prolonged all-day use.

The earmuffs are removable and padded, so you can choose between extra warmth on cold days or a more ventilated configuration when temperatures rise or you want to improve your hearing environment.

Ventilation and goggle compatibility

?

The Obex MIPS features fully adjustable ventilation with sliders at the top that allow you to open or close the air inlets and outlets depending on temperature and exertion. It also integrates goggle chimneys and front vents that direct airflow over the goggles, helping to evacuate vapour and reduce fogging, along with a flexible rear clip that keeps the goggle firmly attached to the helmet.
