Hama AE-90 - HDMI 4K Audio Extractor/Splitter

Designed to separate the video signal from a 4K @30Hz HDMI and forward the audio to external equipment, the Hama HDMI Audio Extractor AE90 combines Toslink optical and 3.5mm jack output in a compact aluminium chassis. The conversion is fully digital, so it preserves PCM 2.0/5.1/7.1, Dolby 5.1, DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD tracks without latency, ideal for players, consoles or sticks that lack a dedicated audio port.

UHD and multi-channel audio support

Supports resolutions up to 4096 × 2160p and integrates an EDID management chip that negotiates high-fidelity audio formats with the TV and receiver, avoiding channel loss or additional compression.

Versatile connections

Offering simultaneous Toslink S/PDIF and stereo analogue output, the Hama HDMI Audio Extractor AE90 links soundbars, external DACs or headphones, and even allows you to listen to radio or music without turning on the screen.

USB power and hassle-free mounting

Powered via USB-C 5V, it simply plugs into the TV itself or a standard charger; no separate power supply or drivers are required. The 58 × 53 × 16 mm dimensions make it easy to hide behind the panel or on a VESA mount.

Durable construction and sustainable packaging

Its brushed aluminium casing improves thermal dissipation and EMI protection, while the 100% plastic-free, FSC-certified cardboard box reduces waste during unpacking.
