Fabric and protection

• WindWall™ double weave fabric, 93% recycled nylon - 7% elastane, with brushed backing and durable PFC-free water repellent finish (DWR), windproof and slightly water repellent, ideal for light snow and wind.

• Very low air permeability (<10 CFM), which reduces wind chill without losing stretch.

• Thermobonded reinforcement patches in high abrasion areas (knees, rear, ankles), designed to stiffen the trousers in areas that suffer most from crampons or rocks.

Fit, waist and closure

• Straight / regular cut, designed to fit true to size, with good volume for comfortable leg movement.

• Elasticated waist with integrated belt strap and zip + press stud fastening, allowing the belt to fit snugly and keep it stable with harness or rucksack.

• Elasticated crotch panel and four-way stretch fabric facilitates wide movements such as climbing slopes, bending the knees or climbing rocks.

Knees, gussets and hems

• Articulated knees that better adapt to the shape of the leg in motion, improving comfort on steep ascents.

• Zippered hem gussets (on each side or at the bottom of the leg), designed to open and close easily over hiking boots, even with a lace-up, maintaining good ventilation and fit around the ankle.

• Designed to accommodate different types of boots, from trekking to mountaineering/alpinism, with zip openings for easy passage.

Pockets and technical details

• Zipped hand pockets for gloves, phone or small items, with weather resistant zips.

• Zippered right thigh pocket with internal tool loop (e.g. GPS charger or small clips).

• Ability to integrate braces (many versions include removable braces) to help keep the trousers in place when worn with a harness or heavy loads.

Performance in use and weather

• Designed primarily for mountaineering and high altitude climbing, where wind resistance, fabric durability and freedom of movement are highly valued.

• Also works very well for winter hiking, light backcountry skiing or rock park use, as long as the rain is not too heavy or prolonged, as this is not a fully waterproof shell pant.
