VERIFY

VeriFactu is an electronic invoice verification system, promoted by the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT), designed to combat tax fraud and improve transparency in invoicing. It is part of a new regulation that seeks to digitize and automate corporate invoicing processes.

Aim

VeriFactu aims to guarantee the integrity, security, and traceability of electronic invoices, making them more difficult to manipulate and facilitating their verification by the AEAT.

Operation

Invoices issued through VeriFactu-certified invoicing software are sent electronically to the AEAT in real time, where they are recorded and verified.

Requirements for software

Invoicing software that wishes to be VeriFactu certified must meet a series of technical requirements that guarantee data integrity, preservation, accessibility, legibility, and traceability of invoices.
