Efficiency and reliability for the protection of critical data
Salicru's SLC TWIN RT3 series comprises Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) from 4 to 10 kVA, with excellent electrical protection features for critical server environments. Although they are designed for integration into rack cabinets, they include all the accessories and adaptability to be arranged in tower format. Models from 4 kVA onwards include a power strip that can be mounted either in a rack arrangement or attached to the body of the UPS, if the vertical format is chosen. This strip, also known as a PDU (power distribution unit), maximizes the electrical connectivity of the equipment, facilitating the rapid connection/disconnection of the loads to be protected.
For direct interaction with the user, a dot matrix display has been chosen, making it easier to highlight important information in the center of the screen, unlike traditional LCD displays.
Reliability, power density, and immediacy of information have been three of the key elements in the definition of the SLC TWIN RT3 series, considering that these three factors are the ones that best satisfy today's user demands.
Connectivity and vigilant protection
The inclusion of an Ethernet port and the option of a Wi-Fi device allow the SLC TWIN RT3 series to be integrated into the IoT environment. The immediacy provided by connectivity directly ensures the continuity of the connected loads and, consequently, the continuity of the productivity associated with them.
At the hardware level, an overvoltage cut-out device (OVCD), a fan-lock detection system, overtemperature detection, an overload alarm, and an external battery detection system ensure constant, automated monitoring of our system.
Improved Length
In many cases, the depth of 19" rack cabinets is often a significant factor. This particularity has led us to consider, as a key factor in the design of the SLC TWIN RT3 range, the reduction of its dimensions on the Z axis while always maintaining the height of 2U x 19" on the front of the UPS. As a result, we offer a high-power density range, limited to just 600 mm depth, and the corresponding batteries are supplied in a 3U format with an equally reduced depth.
Multiple output options
The SLC TWIN RT3 series offers different load connection options. Units from 4 kVA and higher, in addition to offering two IEC C13 quick-connect outlets and an input/output terminal block, are also delivered with a rack-mountable power strip with eight additional outlets (6 x IEC C13 + 2 x IEC C19). The strip has safety locking clips for secure securing of the electrical connectors and can be mounted on the side of the UPS using the supplied accessories.
Advanced internal temperature management
SLC TWIN RT3 from 4 to 10 kW has two fan banks to optimize thermal conditions inside the unit. The front bank acts as a supply, while the rear bank extracts air immediately. This dual system incorporates variable-speed fans to balance ventilation efficiency with energy consumption.
Improved thermal conditions have a positive impact on extending the life of components, while creating the appropriate environment for the equipment to perform at its maximum.
The precision engineering of this system has allowed the equipment to maintain optimal noise levels under typical load conditions, despite the increased air exchange capacity.
Connectable Manual Bypass BM-R
The most important option in this series is the external manual bypass module. This bypass offers management of connected batteries, the ability to manipulate the connected UPS without interrupting the downstream mains supply, and, most importantly, it incorporates two groups of programmable outputs to conveniently assign critical and secondary loads.
This external module has four IEC13 outputs, two IEC19 outputs, distributed equally between two groups, and one terminal output.
It can be rack-mounted on either the front or rear of the cabinet. It also comes with mounting lugs that allow it to be folded down without disassembling it, allowing for maximum convenience in the rear connections.
The range of options also includes two metal brackets that allow for mounting on the side of the unit when the user installs it in tower format.
Extended runtime option:
The SLC TWIN RT3 maintains the option of extending runtime through additional battery modules in a 3U rack format.
The modules are interconnected with each other and with the UPS via a solid Anderson cable connector and an RJ45 cable, for intelligent management.
Charging currents and bus voltage are user-selectable, adapting to the battery's autonomy option. For installations requiring more current input during the battery charging cycle, the B1 range is equipped with a high-capacity charger, maintaining the 2U format of the standard version.
