The Axis A9801 security relay is an essential safety component designed to enhance the protection of door access systems controlled by Axis network video door stations. This relay acts as an intermediary, bridging the connection between the door station and the door lock, and is installed on the secure side of the door. Its primary function is to protect against tampering attempts: if an intruder tries to manipulate the door station wiring, the relay immediately interrupts the connection, ensuring the door remains securely locked.
The Axis A9801 is made of durable plastic and features a compact form factor for shelf mounting, allowing easy integration into existing security installations. It supports input voltage options of 12 V or 24 V and can handle a maximum output power of 30 V DC at 1.2 A, making it compatible with most standard electric door openers. This combination of compatibility and protective functionality makes it a reliable choice for businesses and organizations seeking enhanced security for their access points.
The Axis A9801 security relay is designed to improve overall security efficiency by providing tamper detection and seamless integration with Axis video door stations, such as the A8004-VE. This relay not only secures physical access but is also part of a broader connected security system that can be remotely monitored and managed. Its robust technical specifications and easy installation support its role as a key element in modern access control and security management systems.
