GEU-2431 is plug-and-play, so no configuration is required. Automatic detection of MDI/MDI-X cables on all ports eliminates the need for crossover cables or Uplink ports. Each port can be used as a general port or uplink port, and any port can be simply connected to a server, hub, router, or switch, using a straight-through or crossover cable.
