Startech 2-port Gigabit Ethernet PCI-E network card

The Startech ST1000SPEXD4 is a dual-port Gigabit Ethernet network card that adds two RJ-45 Ethernet ports to a client, server or workstation through a single PCI Express slot. Each port delivers 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet connectivity, making it a practical NIC solution for dual-homed or multi-homed host configurations and for adding wired network capacity to a system with available PCIe.

Built around the Realtek RTL8111E and Asmedia ASM1182E chipsets, this adapter supports full-duplex flow control for data transfer rates up to 2000 Mbps. It is compliant with PCI Express 2.0 and backward compatible with PCIe 1.0a/1.1, and it supports Jumbo Frames up to 9K, IEEE 802.1Q VLAN tagging, IEEE 802.1p priority encoding and IEEE 802.3x full-duplex flow control. Wake on LAN support enables remote wake-up over the network.

The card ships with a standard-profile mounting bracket and also includes a low-profile/half-height bracket for installation in standard or compact computer cases. Drivers are included, and the adapter supports Windows Server operating systems, Linux and a range of Mac OS X versions.
