Tekbox TBFL1 / Transient Limiter / Attenuator / High-Pass Filter, 9 kHz–600 MHz

The TBFL1 is a combined transient limiter, attenuator, and high-pass filter all in one. It is inserted into the signal path to provide optimal protection for the input of a spectrum analyzer or measurement receiver. This is particularly important for measuring conducted emissions or other measurements where the input level cannot be predicted or where random overloading may occur. So-called PIN and Schottky diodes, in combination with a multi-stage 10 dB attenuator, result in a device that can withstand a continuous RF input level of up to 5 W (37 dBm). A gas-discharge tube provides additional protection against high-voltage transients. In addition, the 9 kHz high-pass filter suppresses harmonics originating from the AC line voltage.
