The switch is an essential active device in any network structure that uses transmission over structured cabling. The RSGE-24 is suitable for all types of installations: residential, commercial, low-power, monitoring, IP, VoIP, and cable TV networks.

Its suitable housing and included brackets allow it to be installed in server racks; the functions provided allow for versatile use in any configuration; the bus used, as well as the microcircuit, provide speed in the Gigabit Ethernet standard.

EXTEND MODE UP TO 250 METERS WITH VLAN

Standard switches, according to the standard, allow devices to operate up to 100 meters over a single cable run. However, sometimes, due to the size of the backbone network and the complexity of the environment, a customized solution that goes beyond the standard is required during cabling and networking development. This is a fairly common problem in monitoring solutions, most often due to the excessive distance between the distribution device and the end device.

Lanberg switches have a function that allows data transmission (max. 10 Mbps) up to 250 m over a single cable run. Simply set the button on the housing to the "Extend 250 m " position to enable operation over longer distances.

The solution was introduced for surveillance and IP systems, as well as access control, especially if the end devices are located outdoors without the possibility of installing additional network distribution points.

PORT SEPARATION FUNCTION - VLAN

VLANs are a feature with a wide range of capabilities, from separating or linking multiple logical networks within a larger physical network to isolating ports from each other. This feature is primarily used in configurable switches, but is rarely found in budget solutions, let alone unmanaged ones.

Lanberg switches have a feature that allows you to isolate all standard ports (1-22) while simultaneously enabling each port to transmit only through the uplink ports (23-24). Simply set the switch to the "VLAN " position on the chassis to enable port isolation.

The solution was introduced to ensure effective protection of devices in surveillance, alarm, and access control systems, especially where security is paramount.

2 kV surge protection.

The switch itself, as well as the devices connected to it, are repeatedly exposed to various hazards, such as electrical discharges that can flow through the power and network cables.

With the safety of both the devices and their users in mind, Lanberg has equipped the switch with an integrated surge protection circuit, which guarantees 2 kV protection for all ports, effectively reducing damage from power surges.

Under standard conditions, the network will continue to operate without interruption, the switch will continue to function without interruption, and the user will gain in operational security of the device as well as the infrastructure.

MOUNTING KIT INCLUDED - EARS UP TO 19"

Lanberg has introduced a range of accessories for versatile mounting of its circuit breakers. The RSGE-24 comes with mounting ears for 19" enclosures and a set of mounting screws (except M6). This allows for wider application and greater installation flexibility for the RS series circuit breakers .
