Alphacool Eisbaer Aurora 280 – Liquid Cooling Kit

Alphacool is revolutionising the AIO cooler market with the Eisbaer. If classic AIO CPU coolers are products that cannot be expanded or refilled, the Alphacool Eisbaer has a modular structure and can be expanded, converted or refilled at any time. This means that the Eisbaer is not just an AIO, but is based entirely on classic water-cooled components. That means it is quieter and more powerful than the average AIO solution.

Radiator

Alphacool uses a full copper radiator. The basis of the radiator is the popular Alphacool NexXxoS series. The pure copper construction greatly increases the cooling performance compared to the usual aluminium radiators of classic AIOs. The low fin density ensures an enormous cooling capacity for low speed fans. This reduces the performance of the Eisbaer when the fans are switched off much slower than with radiators with a high fin density.

Hoses

Flexible PVC hoses facilitate the installation of the Eisbaer. This makes it easier to place the hoses in the correct position. To prevent g and stopping the water flow, there are kink protection springs on both hoses. The 11/8 mm size also comes from the normal water cooling area and is a common size together with 13/10 and 16/10.

Fan

In cooperation with BeQuiet! Eisbaer uses the Pure Wings 2 fan to push the cool air between the cooling fins. Both fans work via a 3-pin connection. An Eis adapter is included with the Eisbaer, so both fans can be controlled via a connection on your motherboard or a separate fan control.

Connections

All connections are based on the classic G1/4 inch thread, the standard thread in the water cooling area. Therefore, all connections can be exchanged for others at any time if you wish. This also means that you can then use thicker hoses or even hard pipes to make your system more individual.

Pumps

The pump base is the Alphacool DC-LT Ceramic Ultra Low Noise which is also available separately. The pump operates extremely quietly and can be regulated from 7 to 12V. Regulation via the base plate is also possible. If you operate the Eisbaer alone, you will hardly have a power loss at 7V, as several test results can testify. The isolated pump housing continues to perfect the noise level and also ensures that vibrations are almost completely absorbed.
