Take-Two Interactive PS5 Borderlands 4 video game Blu-ray

An open-world shooter-looter adventure that lands on Kairos with billions of randomly generated weapons, four new camera seekers and a movement system that adds double-jumping, sliding and grappling. In the PlayStation 5 version it runs at 4K / 60fps with HDR, haptic feedback and DualSense adaptive triggers, maintaining co-op action for up to four players with no performance drops.

Evolved gameplay

Characters Vex, Rafa, Amon and Harlowe debut branching skill trees that allow for unique combinations; each action skill can be modified on the fly to suit combat. The new villain Timer forces players to explore four biomes packed with dynamic events, while hoverbikes shorten paths and open up vertical routes.

Exclusive PS5 benefits

Wireless controller integration offers contextual haptic vibration and individual resistance on each trigger type; 3D Audio response positions projectiles and creatures with spatial precision. Performance mode prioritises a stable 60fps, while Quality mode activates ray tracing at 40fps via FSR 3.

Adaptive co-op

• Four-player onlinedrop-in/out with synchronised progression.
• Individuallevel scaling: each player receives loot according to their rank.
• Full cross-play compati bility with Xbox X Series X|S and PC.
• Two-player local split-screen at 1080p.

These options make it easy to share the campaign without penalising latecomers.

Weapons, loot and endgame

The procedural generator introduces Daedalus parts and alternate firing modes; synergies with elemental modules are expanded through affinity slots. After credits, the Rifts of Chaos offer roguelike maps with weekly modifiers and global leaderboards.
