• CPU and memory: MT7988A Quad-Core A73 1.8 GHz processor, with 4 GB DDR4 and 16 GB eMMC storage, enough to run all UTM services simultaneously without overcrowding the case.

Wi-Fi and radio connectivity (model T145-W)

• Integrated Wi-Fi 7 with dual band radios (2.4 and 5 GHz), aimed at providing secure wireless service directly from the firewall itself.

• External antennas with SMA connectors, 2x2 configuration in 2.4/5 GHz plus an additional 5 GHz antenna to improve performance and coverage.

• Ideal for small offices that want to avoid a separate AP, or for controlled hotspots (guests, separate networks, etc.) directly from the Firebox.

Interfaces, power and form factor

• Additional interfaces: 2 USB-A 3.2 ports (backups, snapshots) and 1 RJ45 serial port for local console/management.

• Power supply: 12 V, 2.5 A (30 W max.), with external 100-240 V AC autosensing power supply. Typical power consumption up to 20 W.

• Metal rack-half chassis: dimensions approx. 230 x 210 x 44 mm and weight approx. 2.17 kg for model T145-W.

• Ambient conditions: operation from 0 °C to 40 °C, 0-95% RH non-condensing, estimated MTBF > 840,000 hours.

Security features

• Inspection firewall with TLS decryption support, proxies for HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, FTP, SMTP/POP3/IMAP, TCP/UDP, etc., enabling very granular policies per application and content.

• UTM Suite:

  • Anti-malware with traditional engine and advanced analysis (APT, sandboxing) with AI.

  • IPS (intrusion prevention system) and application filtering.

  • DNS filtering, IP/URL reputation, protection against DoS, fragmented or malformed traffic.

• Reporting and logging included (over 100 dashboards/reports, including PCI and HIPAA), integrable with WatchGuard Cloud for centralised management.

Networking, VPN and SD-WAN

• VPN:
