PATCHBOX PLUS+ Long Range – Fibre-optic cassette

The PATCHBOX PLUS+ Long Range is a modular fibre-optic cassette designed for the PATCHBOX cabling system, the innovative solution for network cabinets. It eliminates cable spaghetti by keeping fibre-optic cables always available at the right length. This cassette is suitable for cabinets up to 46U and features a 2.5 m cable length, making it ideal for long-range connections.

Each cassette contains retractable fibre-optic cables with a cable stop for precise length adjustment, and integrated labelling for easy identification. The modular design allows quick replacement and maintenance, saving significant time and money. The PATCHBOX system is on average 8 times faster to install than conventional methods, and typical moves, adds, and changes are up to 10 times faster.

The cassette uses OM4 multimode fibre with a 50 µm core and 125 µm cladding, supporting wavelengths of 850 nm. It is terminated with LC duplex (male) and SC duplex (male) connectors with PC polish, and supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet, 40 Gigabit Ethernet, and data transfer rates up to 100 Gbit/s. The cable is OFC (oxygen-free copper) with a halogen-free (LSZH) jacket, and the connector material is ceramic. The product is CE certified and operates between 10 and 45 °C. The cassette itself is made of polyoxymethylene (POM) and stainless steel, and is manufactured in Hungary.
