The Edelrid Pinch is a new versatile assisted braking belay device designed for sport climbing, multi-pitch climbing, and rope access techniques. It is the first device on the market that can be attached directly to the central ring of the climbing harness, providing a low, close-to-the-body position that enhances comfort and control during belaying.

This innovative design eliminates the risk of cross-loading the belay carabiner, improving safety. The device features an anti-panic function that can be deactivated; when activated, it automatically locks the device if the release lever is pulled too far backwards, preventing accidental lowering. Additionally, a second braking tier activates if the anti-panic function is triggered too frequently due to insufficient load or excessive rope friction.

The Edelrid Pinch offers equal operation for both right and left-handed users and fits rope diameters from 8.5mm to 10.5mm. Constructed from durable steel and aluminum, it meets EN/CE and UIAA certifications, ensuring high safety standards.
