ARTYK Dance Mat

ARTYK Dance Mat

The ARTYK Dance Mat is an electronic dance mat designed for active, musical play. Its surface is made up of 9 fields with pressure sensors, so every step a child takes is registered as part of the game. Combined with the illuminated sound module, the mat turns movement and rhythm into an interactive activity rather than passive screen time.

Play is organised through several modes. Modes 1 to 3 offer an increasing level of difficulty, and the higher the mode, the more fields have to be pressed. Mode 4 shifts the focus to keeping the music going by pressing the indicated boxes on the mat. Mode 5 is a piano mode: when the boxes are pressed, the sound of a classical piano in the C major range can be heard. A volume control lets you set a comfortable listening level.

The mat measures 82 x 65 cm and is made of plastic in a multicolour finish. It runs on AA batteries or rechargeable AA batteries, which are not included, so make sure you have them ready before the first play session. The packaging measures 40.5 x 23 x 7.5 cm. As with any toy, it is recommended to keep the packaging, labels and leaflets containing important information, and to remove the packaging before giving the toy to the child — the packaging itself is not a toy.
