The StarTech.com 3 m CAT6a Ethernet patch cable is built for 10 Gigabit networks. With a 500 MHz frequency rating and 10GBase-T wiring technology, it is designed to improve signal reliability, with low near-end crosstalk (NEXT) and return loss (RL). It supports Power over Ethernet (PoE++) up to 100 W, making it suitable for PoE devices and 10GBASE-T switch deployments.

Construction is aimed at durability and interference protection: shielded, 50-micron gold-plated connectors, 27 AWG pure copper conductors, and aluminium/mylar foil with braided shielding for greater protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI). The Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket is safe for enclosed spaces, emitting low levels of toxic gases in the event of combustion, and its flexible jacket allows routing through tight spaces.

Each cable is individually tested to meet ANSI/TIA-568.2-D and complies with the PoE++ IEEE 802.3bt Type 4 specification. The snagless connector design with connector protection helps prevent damage during installation, and the cable is plug-and-play ready. It is CE and RoHS compliant.
