The DIGITUS® USB Type-C™ Serial Adapter provides a convenient solution for serial connectivity. RS232 serial interfaces are no longer available on newon hardware, thanks to the DIGITUS® USB Type-C™ Serial Adapter, data exchange is possible between a computer’s USB Type-C™ port and peripherals with a serial interface (COM port, RS232), such as weather stations, sensors, machine controls, set-top boxes, game consoles, PDAs, scanners, modems, ISDN adapters and many other peripherals. The USB Type-C™ Serial Adapter is backward compatible with USB 1.1 and supports customizable baud rates between 75 and 128,000 bits per second. The individually configurable FTDI chipset provides compatibility with all common operating systems, as well as power management and remote wake-up support. Power is supplied via the USB port; a separate power supply is not required.
