The DEM-410CX module offers businesses a highly affordable, low-latency 10 Gigabit network connection over dual copper axial cable. Costing significantly less than fiber cable, copper cable supports distances of up to 5 meters, depending on the thickness of the cable. The CX4 port module does not require a transceiver to be installed, eliminating the need for expensive fiber transceivers.

The CX4 Port Module fits into an open slot on a D-Link Gigabit Switch. The port offers a high bandwidth of 20 Gigabit operating in full duplex mode. It can be used to stack the switches in a very high bandwidth stack scheme or to link to the main chassis switches. It can also be used to connect servers or network storage devices with the CX4 support.

The CX4 port module is therefore an ideal solution for high-bandwidth network connections in high-performance computer networks and for short distances within wiring closets.
