DRAGINO TrackerD Accessory: BLE iBeacon for Indoor Positioning Overview The BCN02 is a Bluetooth BLE iBeacon designed for indoor positioning solutions. The BCN02 is based on the Diglog IC and supports the Bluetooth 5.1 protocol. The BCN02 has low power consumption and features a 1200mAh battery. With a 500ms broadcast interval, the BCN02 can operate for 4–5 years. The BCN02 is designed for use with the Dragino TrackerD to provide a LoRaWAN indoor positioning solution. Multiple BCN02 units are placed in different locations and continuously broadcast their UUIDs via Bluetooth. When a user carries the TrackerD LoRaWAN BLE tracker, the TrackerD continuously scans for these UUIDs and selects the one with the strongest signal to transmit via LoRaWAN. This allows the IoT server to determine the TrackerD’s location.The BCN02 is powered off when shipped by air. To turn it on, the user must rotate it to open the case and plug in the power connector.
