The D-Link DES-1008C/E is an unmanaged desktop switch that adds eight Fast Ethernet ports to your home or small office network. It supports 10/100 Mbit/s speeds, full duplex, and auto-negotiation, so each connected device can communicate at its best possible rate without manual configuration. With a compact white desktop form factor and fanless design, it operates quietly and fits easily on a desk or shelf.

This switch includes a 2,000-entry MAC address table and a 1.6 Gbit/s switching capacity, handling everyday network traffic for computers, printers, and other wired devices. It also supports IEEE 802.3az energy-efficient Ethernet, flow control, and jumbo frames. The DES-1008C/E is powered by an external DC 5 V adapter (not included) and consumes a maximum of 1.55 W.

Setup is plug-and-play: simply connect your devices and the switch starts forwarding packets automatically. LED indicators for activity, link, power, and speed provide quick status checks. With a mean time between failures of over 1.5 million hours, it is built for reliable long-term operation.
